A branding refresh undertaken in early 2026 for Laser Highway > LSR HWY.
It had been 6 or more years since we had undertaken the previous branding update that had incorporated 2010 era cyber punk typography and themes that carried through the general promotional art styling design. A long time in club land for what are such quick moving cultural spaces, entire scenes and genres have come and gone in this space. As an aesthetic cyber punk / retro-future had also become significantly more main stream than when we where first creating posters for events.
With the emergence of Y2K and neo-futurism aesthetes that take influence from the work of Designers Republic and the gritty stylised elements of a dystopian future sci-fi worlds we had a starting point a new direction to push the branding forward in a new direction more inline with the dystopia of new technology we find ourselves in in 2026.
